Radcliffe pushes aside Police One

Defending RBTT Premier Division Cricket champions OLA Boutique Radcliffe inflicted an innings and 25-run win on Police One, last weekend, at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.{{more}}

Police One was dismissed for 66, with Dyke Cato leading the way with 6 for 28 and formidable support from Andy Harper, who took 4 for 10.

Radcliffe responded with 169 for 4 declared. Drumo Toney hit 62 not out.

Batting a second time, Police One fared marginally better, making 80. Again, Andy Harper was among the wicket takers with 5 for 28, to finish with overall figures of 9 for 38. Dyke Cato grabbed 3 for 31. Cato had match analysis of 9 for 59, with Drumo Toney bagging 2 for 6.

At Arnos Vale One, Police Two gained first innings points over the News Spartans.

Aided by several dropped catches, Spartans was able to score 218 for 8, with national Under-15 captain Gidron Pope topscoring with 53, Joey Welcome, 51, and Ronaldo Coombs, 46.

Bowling for Police Two, Rolando Wright grabbed 3 for 79; Elmore Alexander took 2 for 34 and Kenroy Martin 2 for 59.

Police Two reached 224 for 6. Salvan Browne struck 79, Mc Leon Williams scored 47, Oneil Thomas scored 33 not out and Shacky Greene, 32 not out. Nixon Mc Lean was the lead bowler for Spartans with 2 for 45.

First Division

The lone First Division match was played at the Stubbs Playing Field and saw ASCO crushing Log Enterprises Masters by an innings and 43 runs.

Log Masters was dismissed for 73. Aaron Bascombe topped their batting with 34. Derron Greaves snared 4 for 15, Andre Hunte picked up 3 for 21 and Travis Cumberbatch 2 for 18.

ASCO replied with 206 for 4 declared. Derron Greaves was the main contributor, as he posted 89, with Chris King contributing 74 and Desron Maloney 31.

And, batting a second time, Log Masters made 90. Harvey Pope hit 24. Andre Hunte bagged 5 for 10 and Desron Maloney 2 for 24.
