More centuries in local Cricket competition
Two batsmen recorded centuries in the RBTT Premier Division last weekend.
Adding to this yearâs tally were Hyron Shallow and Marvin Small as they plundered Victors Twoâs bowling, and set up MVC Rivals to an innings and 103 runs win at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.{{more}}
Shallow hit 126 not out, which was dotted by 11 fours and 3 sixes, while Small accumulated 101 not out, laced with 8 fours and a half dozen sixes, as both shared in a third wicket stand of 257, as Rivals posted 288 for 2 declared.
This was in reply to Victors Twoâs 81, as Deighton Butler picked up 5 for 38 and Olanzo Jackson, 2 for 15.
Batting a second time, Victors Two was bowled out for 104. Lauron Francois made 36. Rolando Wilkinson picked up 5 for 18 and Butler, 2 for 19.
In a match of the stragglers, Police One got first innings from Packers United.
Police One led by Bieon Duncanâs 43 and Parnell Browneâs 41 scored 152. Javon Samuel was the pick of Packersâ bowlers, with 6 for 46 and Reginald Jeffrey, 3 for 42.
Packers in reply was dismissed for 135. Reginald Jeffery topscored with 32. Gerald Gould snared 4 for 32, Renford Jack, 3 for 30, and Wendell Corridon, 2 for 28. Police One were 87 for 3 in their second innings.
Bottlers First Division
Hairoun Beer North Leeward defeated Smashers by 8 wickets.
Smashers made 154, batting first. Deptor Culzac struck 66, and Ronald Scott, 30. Nelson Williams took 4 for 48, Jamal Nash, 2 for 14, and Kevin Small, 2 for 44.
North Leeward responded with 211. Eston Robertson made 39. Courtney Joyette bagged 4 for 47 and Marvin, Harry 4 for 52.
Smashers in their second knock were bowled out for 80. Rawlmore got 4 for 13 and Vangell Small, 2 for 4, bowling for North Leeward, which reached 25 for 2 in the second innings.
The other scheduled match saw Robertson Surveying Belmont winning by default over Owia Shottaz. (RT)
