Imperial batted first and scored 232 all out, with Orient Bostic making 80, which included a dozen fours; Jason Cunningham made 34, and former St.Vincent and the Grenadines player Colville Browne, 26.

Dominic Audain picked up 4 for 44, Jacob Emmanuel, 2 for 2, and Mark Audain, 2 for 35.

In reply, Middlesex reached 234 for 6, to win by four wickets. Former Windward Islands batsman Joey Pierre topscored with 68, which included 7 fours. Lester Benn hit 55, which included 6 fours, and Mark Audain, 43, dotted with six boundaries.

Andy Douglas grabbed 3 for 40, and Kester Sylvester, 2 for 52.

The win took Middlesex to their second consecutive victory in the 2010 league.

Cavaliers, also of Vincentian roots, thrashed Carriacou at Marine Park B. Batting first, Carriacou scored 185 runs for 8. Richard Louis made 47. Orlanton Mofford took 2 for 29 and Brian Henry, 2 for 38.

Replying, Cavaliers made light work of the reply making 188 for 1. An explosive 125 not out by Brian Henry made the win easier.

Queensbury, another Vincentian team, on the other hand, was not as successful as they went under to Shaheen.

Queensbury in reply to Shaheen’s 201 made 171 for 9. Joseph Shortte’s 45 was the only batsman who made a creditable score.

Tomorrow, the cricket action continues with Cavaliers meeting Wanderers at Marine Park A. Queensbury plays Punjab at Marine Park B, while Imperial will meet Carriacou at Marine Park D. All matches are scheduled to bowl off at 1:30pm. (RT)
