LIME, Sportsmax team up to bring BPL matches
LIME has joined forces with Sportsmax, the exclusive broadcaster of the Barclayâs Premier League (BPL) for most of the English-speaking Caribbean, to bring all the action of the worldâs most competitive football league to soccer fans across the region.{{more}}
The telecoms company has become the official broadcast sponsor of coverage the BPL on Sportsmax Cable TV for the remainder of the 2009/2010 season which ends in May.
In support of the sponsorship LIME has launched its Ultimate Fan Promotion which gives football supporters the opportunity to win exciting prizes including free Internet service, mobile phones and BPL team jerseys. To enter customers only have to text the âFOOTBALLâ to TEAM (8326). Text messages cost $1 each.
LIME is also offering customers a free match alert service on their mobile phones which includes the schedule of the games to be broadcast on Sportsmax, half time alerts and final results of the matches featuring Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool. To sign up for free match alerts customers can text the name of the team of their choice to 8663.
LIMEâs Chief Marketing Officer, Chris Dehring said: âThe Barclayâs Premier League is probably the most popular football league in the world and we know that people across the Caribbean are big BPL fans so we are bringing all the match action to their TV screens and putting all the information on the most popular teams right at their finger tips.â
