Things heating up in the National Volleyball competition

The National Volleyball Competition continued with exciting action on Thursday, June 5. In a Male B Division encounter between Alliance Volleyball Club and Police, Alliance won the first set 25-14, lost the second set 15-25 and came back in the third and final set to win police 15-12.{{more}}

For matches played on Saturday, June 7, at the Kingstown Preparatory School Hard Court and the National Lottery Court, the results are: Langley Park Volleyball Team wining Gremlins Volleyball Club (Male B Division) 25-19, 19-25, 15-13; Dickson won Gremlins (Female Division) 25-9, 25-6; Gremlins won Dickson (Male A Division) 25-13, 25-17, 25-23.

On Sunday, Matches were played at the Gomea Primary School Hard Court and saw action in the Female Division. Alliance battled with Wings Volleyball Team from South Rivers. Alliance having the home court advantage won over Wings 2-1 Scores being 25-18, 23-25, 15-12. In the second match of the afternoon, Aliance challenged Wings Volleyball Club this time in the Male B Division and lost 21-25, 25-23, 15-11. The other Scheduled match in the Male A Division between Aliance and Layou Tornadoes was postponed.

On Monday, action continued again and saw 2 Matches scheduled for the National Lottery Hard Court in Kingstown and one for Prep school hard court. In the Female division, All Stars United defeated Langley Park 25-16, 25-12. In a Male B Division encounter, Langley Park Won by default, due to the no show of Police. In what was an exciting match in the Male A Division, Gremlins 1 defeated Twin City Combine 3-0 with scores 27-25, 26-24 and 25-23.
