Jeffers with Rangers FC

Troy “Stucky” Jeffers of Layou (Texier Road) is now enjoying himself with his new soccer club, Rangers F.C of Trinidad and Tobago. The former Texier Road United and System Three defender made the professional league team three months ago while he was on trials with the club.{{more}}

Pro League Coach Anthony Streete told his former Manager and Coach Leo and Ian Sardine that Troy was impressive to watch, performing well in his technical and tactical ability, and was top in his fitness and endurance run.

Troy is positioned as a right wing back who likes to make bursting over lap with some swerving crosses, and is a brutal brick wall while defending.

Speaking to Troy about his new environment, he said “I’ve already adjusted All I need is health and strength and I will get there, cause there’s always room for improvement. With help from the most high God.”

Troy played his first game at his home stadium, the Hasely Crawford Complex, against Calidonia AiA, which Rangers won by a 2-1 margin, but played a sweeper’s role in that game.

Shandell Samuel is another member of St. Vincent Motors System Three who is also taking up duties in Trinidad and Tobago with his team San Juan Jablotech. He is, however, out for six months due to a knee injury in the pre-season, forcing him to undergo surgery.
