Heading off to Santo Domingo are Dominic Evans, Darel Dickson, Kavir Gaymes, Jabarri Jack and Jonathan Daniel.

The team will be accompanied by Carlton Daniel as Coach and Elliot Charles as manager.

While in the Dominican Republic, the players, all under age 15, will undergo three days of training in techniques and skills by regional and international coaches, before a singles, doubles, mixed doubles and team tournament serves off.

Other teams from the region as well as Latin America are expected to attend.

President of the local Table Tennis Association Sean Stanley, while introducing the team to the media, urged the players to absorb as much as possible and said he hoped to see improved performances when they return.

The players are expected to return on September 1st.(JJ)
