Winning serves for Vincy tennis players

Vincentian tennis players Daron Jack and Adrian Wyllie are posting wins in good seasons at their respective American universities.

Jack, a former top junior player is a first year student in Industrial Engineering at Virginia State University, and plays at number 4 seed for the Trojans.{{more}}

Jack so far has posted a 13-4 Singles Win-Loss record. Jack, playing at number 3 seed, last won on Saturday, beating Kevin Wilson of Saint Augustine’s College 6-0, 6-0.

The Trojans, with a overall 2007 season record of 13-5, play in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association competition of the NCAA Division II league.

Wyllie, a first year Pre Med major, is also a former top national junior player, and plays at number 6 seed for the Virginia Intermont College Cobras

Wyllie has so far posted a 2-2 Singles Win-Loss record.

Wyllie recorded his last win defeating Wes Sturgill of University of Virginia’s College at Wise 6-2, 6-0.

The Cobras play in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Competition of the NAIA Division, with an overall 2007 record of 8-3.

Both players are recipients of athletic scholarships.
