The Gomea Methodist Pre-school came out on top when the Kingstown/Chateaubelair circuit held their Sports day last Friday at the Kingstown Baptist Church grounds.

The tiny tots traded in their crayons and building blocks for a day of fun in the sun as nothing could stop dampen the day’s proceedings.{{more}}

A rainbow of colours flocked the fields as each school took part in the March pass at the opening.

The smiles on the kids’ faces quickly pounced upon that of their parents, as they turned out in their numbers to support the little athletes.

Gomea led the pack with a total of 100 points while Kingstown was second with 77 points, Spring Village with 65 points and Layou with 24 points.

To get the ball rolling, a sixty-meter dash was held which saw not only one person placing first, but also nearly all of the competitors crossed the finish line at the same time.

The frog race seemed most fun for the kids as they each squatted at the start line and leaped their way to the finish line.

There was also sack race competition and the block race. It was clear to see that everybody was a clear cut winner on this day as each child still showed loved to one another even with the outcome.
