Connell noted that Bottler’s St. Vincent Ltd. has sponsored this tournament for the last three years, and has been involved in the development of local tennis for the last 30 years. This, he said, indicates the significant contribution to sports made by Bottlers St. Vincent Ltd., and he expressed the hope that other companies in St. Vincent and the Grenadines would follow the leaders. A plaque of appreciation was presented to Brian Perreira of Bottlers.

According to Connell, the association intends to introduce the game to all rural secondary schools in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, so that next year, the tournament would see a significant increase in the number of schools participating.
