Sporting the number 21 jersey, 21- year old Lyttle, had her highest match points last week Wednesday, scoring 13 points against Los Angeles.

As the fifth pick in April’s draft, Lyttle joined the Comets from the University of Houston.

The Comets won five matches and lost five for the season.

Lyttle, the first Vincentian woman to play in the WNBA, linked up recently with her countryman Adonal Foyle. The duo forms part of national history. Foyle became the first from SVG to play in the NBA. He represents the Golden State Warriors.

Foyle was present at Comets’ 68-74 loss to the Sacramento Monarchs played at Arco Arena.

“She’s the first from St.Vincent. We’re the perfect world couple of basketball,” Foyle said

Lyttle echoing similar sentiments, remarked, “He’s the first guy to get out and I’m the first girl, and for him to take time out of his day is great”.

Foyle who drove about two hours to see Lyttle play thinks that St.Vincent and the Grenadines has a strong basketball future.
