Bats blaze at Stubbs

Ground staff in the Ju-C First Division Competition seemed to have prepared a perfect pitch that allowed batsmen to show flashing blades last weekend in blistering sunny conditions. {{more}}

Curtis King with a well played 102, and Jerome Samuel who made 100 shared in a 155 run sixth wicket partnership to guide Belmont to 303 for 7 declared against Radclife Two at Stubbs. That performance secured first innings points for Belmont.

When Radcliffe Two declared at 224 for 8 in their first innings, Terran Harper had hit 107. Harper, in training for possible selection to the national National Under 19 showed a strong appetite for runs. He followed up this performance with 56 in the second innings as his team reached 116 for 4.

The game was called off after four of the mandatory 15 overs were bowled.
