Shallow running deep

Vanessa Shallow had the highest individual score: 79 against Garifuna Stars which propelled her to the Most Runs (218).

From the South Leeward district of Rillan Hill, Shallow, a wicket keeper and opener, is captain of Despers.

Ince up with the wickets

A right hand medium pacer, Margaret Ince proved her worth during the last Women’s competition. She picked up the most wickets in an innings, 8 for 21.

She indicated, “From creation, I used to play road side cricket with the guys”.

“I love the game,” she pointed out, and hopes to regain her place on the squad.

Lynch and Bess make improvement

Samantha Lynch and Terisha Bess are the awardees for Most Improved Player in their categories. Lynch, the Senior category while Bess’ was in the Junior Division.

Rochelle John copped the most wickets (21).

J.G. Tigress won the local competition with Survivors second and Combined Rangers third.

Most Valuable Player awards went to Celena Fraser: J.G. Tigress, Cordell Jack: Survivors, Melissa Billingy: Rangers, Margaret Ince: Despers, Earlene DeGrads: North Leeward, and Juliana Nero: Garifuna Stars.
