Vincy Heat prepares for Gold Cup

Even as the controversy rages over the coaching scenario here, St. Vincent and the Grenadines is gearing up for the inaugural 2004 Digicel Cup.

The final round is scheduled for Barbados, February 20 to 24.

Twenty-four teams in six groups will battle for places in the Second Round when the two top teams from each group will play home and away matches. {{more}}

SVG is in Group E that will be staged in the Cayman Islands, October 26 to 30. The Vincentians play Bermuda October 26. The other team in that group is British Virgin Islands.

Jamaica hosts Group A, which includes Haiti, United States, Virgin Islands, and Saint Martin. Matches in that Group run from November 24 to 28.

Martinique hosts Group B on November 10 to 14, with French Guyana, Guadeloupe and Dominica.

Group C will be a showdown in Cuba from October 6 to 10. Those joining the host are Dominican Republic, Netherlands Antilles, and Guyana.

Grenada, Puerto Rico, and Surinam will tussle with host Trinidad

and Tobago from November 24 to November 28 in Group D.

Montserrat, St. Lucia, and Antigua and Barbuda journey to St. Kitts/Nevis for their Group F clash, October 27 to October 31.

The Second Round will be December 12 and 19. The Third Round, also

on a home and away basis, is carded for January 9 and 16.
