Alleged hit on teen’s buttocks lands Arnos Vale man in court

A resident of Arnos Vale Charged with indecent assault following an incident which occured earlier this month.

Police arrested and charged Omarie John, a 29-year-old self-employed man with the offence of indecent assault.

According to the investigations, the accused indecently assaulted a 17-year-old girl by hitting her on her buttocks with his hand.

The offence was committed in Arnos Vale on July 7, 2025. John appeared before the Family Court on July 15, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was granted bail in the sum of $2,500.00 ECC with one (1) surety. John was ordered not to have any contact with the virtual complainant and was ordered to report to the Central Police Station every Wednesday between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

The matter was adjourned to October 14, 2025, for trial.
