St Vincent Brewery kicks off celebrations to marks 40 years of Brewing legacy

St. Vincent Brewery Limited (SVGBL), is this month kick-starting month-long activities to mark its Ruby anniversary.

SVBL, producer of some of the nation’s most consumed beverages, is celebrating its 40 years of brewing excellence under the theme “Brewed with Passion, Built on Legacy – 40 Years and Counting”. In a release the Brewery said its activities will be community-oriented, adding that the Ruby anniversary recognizes SVBL’s lasting impact on Vincentian culture, its tradition of quality, and its spirit of innovation.

“From Hairoun and Vita Malt to Guinness and Hairoun soft drinks SVBL has delivered the brands Vincentians love and trust. Now, as the Brewery turns 40, the celebration isn’t just about the past – it’s about honouring the people who made it possible and building excitement for what comes next.”
The celebrations begin on Sunday, May, 18,2025, with a thanksgiving church service and brunch, “a moment of gratitude shared among staff, partners, and community friends to reflect on four decades of stories, partnerships, and progress,” the release said.

“For 40 years, we have been more than a Brewery — we’ve been a part of the Vincentian story,” Country Manager Shafia London, is quoted in the release as stating.

“This milestone is about people. It’s about community, pride, and that unshakable Vincy spirit. We honour our history and raise our glasses to what’s next.”

On Tuesday, May 20, SVBL will unveil a special Ruby anniversary edition of its flagship Hairoun beer, adorned with the names of Vincentians, each bottle being a tribute to some of the people who have supported the Brewery for four decades.

Vincentians are encouraged to post their finds using the hashtags and tag @stvincentbreweryltd and @hairounbeersvg. It’s not just a drink — it’s us saying, “Thank You on the label.” Other activities include a Customer week and community outreach which begins on Monday, May 19; a visit to the Lewis Punnett Home when residents will be treated to musical entertainment, personal interactions with staff, and thoughtfully prepared gift baskets as well as essential hygiene and cleaning supplies; and, “A Bold Reveal & Afternoon of Thanks” on May 22, which “ will mark a major moment in the anniversary calendar with the formal 40th anniversary ceremony,” featuring remarks from Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves.

“The event will culminate in the unveiling of what’s next for SVBL- a bold, exciting new product that signals the Brewery’s forward-thinking approach to the next era of brewing,” to be followed immediately after by a customer appreciation afternoon that runs from noon to 5:00 p.m. in which there will be giveaways, and interactive games.

“The afternoon is SVBL’s way of saying thank you to its supporters for their loyalty and love,” the Campden Park-based enterprise stated.

Staff will celebrate with an Island Bus Crawl on Friday, May 23, taking employees across the island in true celebratory style. “It’s a toast to the people behind the scenes.”

A Ruby anniversary party takes place at Victoria Park on Saturday, May, 24, and a one-day 40th anniversary surprise is carded for Sunday, May, 25. As the official events wrap up, SVBL said it will continue the festivities with ‘birthday parties on trade”, visiting its partners across the island to extend thanks and appreciation as it recognises the role that retailers and distributors have played in the Brewery’s continued growth.
