New Student added to SVGAT’s ‘Adopt-A-Child’ Programme
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Toronto Inc. (SVGAT) said it has provided sponsorship to a child from Layou, welcoming him to its Adopt-A-Child programme.
In a release, the Association said Micah Charters, a student of the Layou Government School, has become the 13th student currently benefiting from this initiative.
Launched in 2008, the Adopt-A-Child Programme provides financial assistance to primary school students across St Vincent and the Grenadines for five years, supporting their
education until they transition to secondary school.
Micah’s sponsorship is generously funded by a family based in
the United States who has chosen to remain anonymous, the Association states. It is inviting individuals or families interested in sponsoring a student to reach out via email.
