The National Sports Council (NSC) has announced the closure of the Arnos Vale 1 & 2 Playing Fields, the Wilf Slack Nets as well as the Sion Hill and Stubbs Playing Fields to facilitate restorative work.

In a release, the NSC said that the Arnos Vale 1 & 2 Playing Fields, the Wilfred Slack Nets, the Sion Hill and the Stubbs Playing Fields will be closed to the public from next Tuesday, May 16 to Monday, June 19.

The closure is to allow for restorative work in preparation for the West Indies Under 19 Rising Stars Tournament which is scheduled to run from July 2, to August 2, 2023

The Council is asking for the co-operation of the public to refrain from using these playing fields since the chemicals used in the pesticides and herbicides can be hazardous to health.
