Recent COVID-19 deaths include four females, one male
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE) has provided a breakdown of the five recent COVID-19 related deaths which were recorded within the last four weeks.
During the reporting period December 18 to 24, 2022 one death was recorded; December 25 to 31 2022 one death was recorded; January 1 to 7, 2023 one death was recorded and January 8 to 14 2023 two deaths were recorded. The deaths bring the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to 123.
- A female, 40 years, with underlying conditions tested positive for COVID-19 on December 08, 2022 and was admitted to the Isolation Ward, MCMH. She died on December 22, 2022 of COVID-19 pneumonia. She was unvaccinated.
- A male, 97 years, with underlying conditions tested positive for COVID-19 on November 24, 2022 and was admitted to the Isolation Ward, Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH). He died on December 30, 2022 of COVID-19 pneumonia. He was unvaccinated.
- A female, 49 years, with underlying conditions tested positive for COVID-19 on December 31, 2022 and was admitted to the Isolation Ward, MCMH. She died on January 04, 2023 of COVID-19 pneumonia. She was unvaccinated.
- A female, 84 years, with underlying conditions tested positive for COVID-19 on December 25, 2022 and was admitted to the Isolation Ward, MCMH. She died on January 08, 2023 of COVID-19 pneumonia. She was unvaccinated.
- A female, 52 years, with underlying conditions tested positive for COVID-19 on January 02, 2023 and was admitted to the Isolation Ward, MCMH. She died on January 08, 2023 of COVID-19 pneumonia. She was unvaccinated.
