71-year-old male is 116th person to die from COVID-19 in SVG

A 71-year-old male is the 116th person to die of COVID-19 in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The September 7, 2022 COVID-19 update from the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment said the man, who had underlying conditions, tested positive for COVID-19 on August 31, 2022 and was admitted to COVID-19 Ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

He died on September 5, 2022 of COVID-19 pneumonia.

He was unvaccinated.

His death brings the death toll from COVID-19 to 116.
