Ten to graduate from Coast Guard Basic Coxswain’s course

A four week course aimed at equipping Coast Guard and Maritime Law Enforcement Officers with the basic skills required to coxswain small boats wraps up today, Friday August 26 at the Coast Guard base at Calliaqua.

Ten members of the Coast Guard were involved in the Basic Coxswain’s Course which is certified by the Regional Security System (RSS).
Certificates will be presented to all participants and outstanding ones will be highlighted and recognized, the Coast Guard Service said in a release.

Remarks will be delivered by deputy Commissioner of Police, Frankie Joseph as well as commanding officer of the Coast Guard, lieutenant Commander, Deon Henry, and RSS representative, lieutenant Edric Hargreaves.

Retired Coast Guard Commander, Brenton Cain will deliver the feature address.
