Man taken into police custody in relation to disturbing voice notes

Kyle “Cat” Richards, a resident of Redemption Sharpes has been taken into police custody in connection with disturbing voice notes received by a woman of the same address.

A release from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said that on March 20 at 4:15 pm, Sherika John of Redemption Sharpes reported to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that she “saw disturbing messages and listened to voice notes with equally disturbing content on Messenger, about her and her daughter which were allegedly uploaded and posted by Mr. Kyle “Cat” Richards….”

“On March 21, 2022, at about 9:00 a.m, Ms. John returned to CID and was directed to the Information Technology (I.T) Department where the messages were extracted from her phone. At about 10:00 a.m the said day, the Head of CID, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Clauston Francis met and spoke with Ms. John then later dispatched a party of officers in the police transport in search of the suspect. Unfortunately, he was not found at the time.

“However, later the same day, the suspect was taken into custody by officers attached to the Special Services Unit (SSU). He is presently at CID assisting the police with the investigations,” the release from the RSVGPF said.

Investigations into the matter continue.
