RUBIS supported the recent graduation ceremony of the Central Leeward Secondary School with a donation of trophies for top-performing students of the Class of 2021.
After making the presentation to the students, Country Representative Elroy Edwards stated: “RUBIS is pleased to recognise the efforts of the students, not only those who excelled academically but also those who did well in athletics and other disciplines. These trophies serve as a reminder that their hard work did not go unnoticed. I know that the recognition these students receive will give them the motivation to become high achievers and be the best they can be.”
A release from the company said that the trophies were used as awards for the Student of the Year, Most Improved Student, Valedictorian and for Deportment and Punctuality.
This donation is a continuation of the support that RUBIS has offered to the Central Leeward Secondary School. For the past four years, RUBIS has provided sponsorship and donated trophies for the school’s sports meet, and also supported its participation in the annual Inter-Secondary Schools’ Athletics Championships (ISSAC) for which the Central Leeward girls’ team are the defending champions.
The company said it is committed to supporting education in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic donated laptops, tablets and internet access to the Ministry of Education to assist primary and secondary students with online learning.
