Eight more Covid-19 cases reported in SVG

Eight new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from 208 samples processed on Saturday May 29, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 3.9 per cent, a release from the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) said.

No  samples were processed on Sunday May 30, 2021. 

“One new recovery was noted over the reporting period. One hundred and ninety-nine(199) cases  are currently active and twelve (12) persons with COVID-19 have died. Two thousand and forty four (2044) cases of COVID-19 and eighteen hundred and thirty-two (1832) recoveries have  been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since March 2020,” the release said. 

The public is urged to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get vaccinated to  reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
