Farmer charged with assault of a woman

A 29-YEAR-old farmer of Diamonds has been arrested and charged with assault.

Uroy Lewis was charged on October 18.

A release from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said according to investigations, Lewis allegedly assaulted a 25-year-old self-employed woman also of Diamonds by pointing a gun at her with the intent to commit bodily harm.

The incident occurred about 4:00pm on October 15, 2020.

Lewis is expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court to answer to the charge.
