Association of Social Workers revived, new executive elected

THE NEWLY elected executive of the Social Workers’ Association of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SWASVG) will be presented to the public on March 17 at a press conference.

The association was revived with the aim to enhance the professional growth, development and well-being of Social Workers in SVG, a release said.

The March 17 event will be held at the NEMO Conference Room beginning 10.a.m. It is being held in commemoration of the International Day of Social Workers and for the executive to put forward its week of activities.

Other events during the week of activities are a church service on March 15; an appearance on ‘Morning Cup’ on NBC Radio on March 16; a domestic violence workshop on March 17; and an appearance on We FM on March 20.
