Fourteen to contest Teachers Union Elections
FOURTEEN CANDIDATES are down to contest general elections of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers’ Union-SVGTU which will take place from February 25-26.
Former president Oswald Robinson, will challenge incumbent Wendy Bynoe, for the post of president.
Andrew John and Fiona Charles will do battle for the post of first Vice President; while Denisha Hector and Vanrick Williams will try for the post of second Vice President.
The candidates vying for the post of General
Secretary are Ketty Kydd-Rhynd and Nikeisha Williams; and Attika James has no competition for the position of Assistant General Secretary. Meriah Samuel has no one coming up against him for the position of Treasurer, and a similar situation obtains for the position of Public Relations Officer, for which Noelene Bacchus- Young is the listed candidate.
Samantha Browne-Cordice, Tishanna Reid, and Abdon Whyte are the candidates who will contest for positions as Committee Members.
