Marriaqua District Health Team Distributes Medical Supplies to residents.

The Marriaqua District Health Team on Tuesday, July 23 donated a quantity of medical supplies to needy cases in the areas surrounding its six Health Centres – Calder, Evesham, Mesopotamia, Grieggs, Lowmans (Wd.) and Richland Park.

These supplies were provided by the Marriaqua Secondary School/St Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua Alumni Association of North America.

The Association consists of Past Students of the St Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua located in North America. These students have been involved in different charitable projects here in the community of their school through the use of funds that were raised from several activities conducted in the diaspora in North America.

On the local scene Island-wide Medical Transportation Services and the Marriaqua District Health Team dealt with the movement and distribution of the medical supplies:

Island-wide Medical Transportation Services Inc. made the necessary arrangements for the items to get to St Vincent and the Grenadines. This company is owned and operated by two brothers Cosmas and Andre Bailey, Past Students of the St Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua, residing in North America.
