Editor: We are now fully into the New Year. Many persons make new year resolutions only to break them.

Its my prayer and that of the vast majority of Vincentians both at home and abroad [that] we will see a huge reduction in murders.

One of the ways of this being a reality is to forgive and love each other. We are not perfect and so we would offend at times. So when we forgive we are freeing ourselves of many weights and anger. Loving others is very important, for when we love it helps us to respect one another.

We need to consider that in our imperfections, we too need forgiveness and love.

Another time I will look at crimes, its causes and solutions. May we have a peaceful and productive 2024.
