On whose advice was the decision made?

Editor: If the meeting which has been scheduled to be held here in St Vincent and the Grenadines, between the leaders of Guyana and Venezuela Is a serious attempt to resolve differences which are threatening to disrupt the peace of our region, then a venue should have been chosen where the discernible social human spirit reflected a prevailing ethos of respect and mature tolerance between individuals under the umbrella of honourable trustworthy leadership.

St Vincent and the Grenadines today is not such a place; the socio-political fragility which has been so graphically exhibited in our PARLIAMENT in recent times is testimony of our distinct unsuitability as the venue for so delicate and momentous an endeavour.
