Yes Sir!

EDITOR: Haughty: blatantly and disdainfully proud, showing an attitude of contempt for people perceived to be inferior. Arrogant: exaggerating one’s own importance in an overbearing manner. These definitions from Webster’s dictionary aptly describe some who have taken charge. They refuse to confine themselves to their role as policymakers and have usurped the authority of the technocrats. This might not have been a major problem if it had not cost us so much.
Funds are made available to us by various funding agencies. The conditions under which we can access these funds are well defined. We have among us certain skilled personnel who are experienced in helping us draw down on these funds in a timely manner. Too much money is being returned to the donors because of our negligence and failure to utilize the human resources that we have. Can we allow the haughty and arrogant to deny us the opportunities and resources for which we qualify and deserve? No!
