Be a force for good!

EDITOR: Baby shot in Glen died! Man shot and killed over a land dispute! How terrible! Why do people keep allowing the devil to control their lives to commit such horrible crimes? How much better it is to make yourself a force for good in society and avoid the devil’s influence!

According to Luke 4:1, Jesus was full of holy spirit and therefore, was certainly equipped to resist the devil’s temptations. Luke 4:4, 8, 12, 13. The apostles were strengthened by God’s powerful holy spirit and spoke God’s Word boldly.{{more}} Acts 4:31. Hence, both Jesus and his apostles were forces for good in society. God’s Word, the Bible, was produced under the influence of God’s holy spirit. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21.

Therefore, if we read the Bible and think seriously on what it says, we can be forces for good too. If there is an argument involving us or others, can we encourage a peaceful settlement? Romans 14:19. It makes NO sense whatsoever to quarrel, fight, or kill someone for a piece of land, a house, or anything, for that matter, that we cannot take with us when we die! Psalm 49:16, 17 and 1 Timothy 6:7, 8. Encourage one another to sit down and settle matters peacefully. Matthew 5:23, 24 and Ephesians 4:26, 27, 31. NEVER give wicked advice that supports fighting or killing someone for something. Proverbs 12:6. Please read and think seriously on the foregoing Scriptures with the aim of doing what they say. Let God’s Word, a splendid product of holy spirit, help you to be a force for good in society as much as possible.
