Something to celebrate

Fri Jun 20, 2014

Editor,

The 2014 Graduating class of the Lowmans Windward Anglican School (LWAS) has done us proud and has erased some of the ill-favoured names which have tainted the school over the years.{{more}}

In this year’s Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA), the school gained a pass rate of 73.3 per cent, which is a drastic increase from its last Common Entrance results. This year we have Jamarl Pope, who performed exceptionally well. He gained 94 for Mathematics, 80 for Language and 86 for Science for his external examination. He placed 30th for boys and 63rd overall. Jamarl has brightened and set a standard for the youngsters of his generation. The school also has a total of four students vying for a place in the top secondary schools in the country. These four students are Jamarl Pope, Alphina Jacobs, Chadwick Bruce and Druvante Charles. We are indeed proud of all our students and we would like to encourage them to aim for the stars and always remember that education is the gateway to success.
