Editor: Last Saturday, June 26, constituents of East Kingstown and well wishers were treated to a musical steel pan treat, in addition to a variety of delicious creole dishes at affordable prices.{{more}} This event took place at the Sion Hill Intersection. The service rendered by Luke Browne’s friends and supporters was first class.

The launch of this innovative initiative was spearheaded by Rhodes Scholar and Unity Labour Party care taker for East Kingstown Luke Browne.

Browne, singlehandedly, was able to mobilise over three hundred folks from the East Kingstown Constituency. There were specially invited guests at this auspicious occasion which was punctuated by warm and friendly exchanges amongst persons from diverse backgrounds of East Kingstown and further afield.

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves was one of the specially invited guests who took time out in his characteristic way to mingle with ordinary folk and share some light moments.

Essentially, Browne, who got unanimous support from U.L.P delegates of East Kingstown at a meeting to elect a candidate for the U.L.P to contest the next general elections, views this gesture as one to forge stronger links with his supporters and to ensure that he is on terra firma.

Before and after getting the official nod to be the candidate on a ULP ticket for the next general elections, Luke Browne has been indefatigable on the campaign trail, gracing his presence in virtually every community in East Kingstown.
