Give up leadership!

Fri, Jun 25, 2010

My Dear Arnhim:

I have become really disappointed in you these days so I have decided to write to you, asking you to give up the leadership of the New Democratic Party.{{more}}

You continue to make a series of mistakes, one after the other, from the basic fact that China has no veto vote on the UN Security Council, to the fiasco statement on the tug issue. In the matter of the tug, how could you allow the government to get away with operating the Port Authority without a tug?

And the way your party fooled us Vincentians in the referendum vote, telling us that if we voted yes, we would have to get visas to go to the United Kingdom and Canada, and that our returning retirees from the UK, will lose their pension. Arnhim, we Vincentians are boiling over this, and we can’t wait to show our disapproval at the polls, that is why we are so silent.

Your party’s convention is on July 11. Give up the leadership. Don’t forget, your party presided over the worst piece of corruption in the history of St.Vincent and the Grenadines, and that is the Ottley Hall project. We can’t get answers as to what happened, and there is no apology coming from you or your party. To add insult to injury, your founding father is trying to stop the Ottley Hall inquiry from continuing!

And then it was your party that mash up the banana industry, close down the sugar factory, the Diamond Dairy, all the crushing plants, and much more. How can you carry the weight of all this on your shoulders?

No Arnhim, it is time to go home and smell the proverbial frangipani flowers, if you get my drift. Leave the NDP to the likes of Sir James, Leacock and Linton Lewis.

A word to the wise is enough.
