Economic Madness


EDITOR: St. Vincent and the Grenadines must be the laughing stock of the Caribbean. As Caribbean economies are facing a contraction and recession, this Government is increasing the national debt by paying out money to students.{{more}}

Clearly, the very constitution has shortcomings. If a Prime Minister can recklessly waste so much money just to get a constitution pass, then there is something lacking in the existing constitution – there is no check on the economic indiscretion of the Prime Minister.

The notion of putting your country before the party is a misnomer. Clearly, the waste of resources to pay students when roads need to be resurfaced and built and the hospital is in such a dilapidated state tells one that this is nothing to do with nation building but all about individualism and power.
