Stop the nasty attacks on Sean Stanley

Editor: Please permit me space in your newspaper so that I can air my views on the impasse surrounding the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association.

I have been listening to the phone calls on the various sports programmes trying to destroy the President and it is in my view that persons are willing to go to the extreme not only to have him removed from the position of President but from his job.{{more}}

Yes, I am aware of persons calling his supervisor on matters relating to the Association with hope that he, the Supervisor, would “do something”. I have asked myself: Why? Since his supervisor does not have anything to do with what goes on in the Association. Only one answer comes to mind, “His name is Sean Stanley not Sean Whatsoever”.

It has been brought to my attention that the Director of Sports is in cooperation with the adversaries of Mr. Stanley. This I see as a clear indication that he is also in a quest to have the sport placed in the doldrums of society knowing the repercussions it would have.

The Association recently held its elections and Stanley pulled a shocking victory but unfortunately for him he has to now work with some of his adversaries. They will cut his throat, left, right and centre! If you listen to the sports programmes you would realize that the bad picture is still being painted by these same Executive Members. However, there is a true saying, “if you digging a hole for your brother dig one for yourself’.

This thing must stop because it can become dangerous and nasty.

Peace.

John Jones.
