Mind reform – The only solution to a wicked mind

While many professionals attempt to seek and to give explanations for crime, we must understand that every act of violence committed is a result of the mind of the offender. Indeed, so a man thinketh in his heart, so is he; it is the wicked thoughts of the youth that cause them to do acts of wickedness.
It is the absence of God/Love in the heart, rebellious thoughts and imaginations of mischief that cause disregard for neighboursâ right to life and private property. It is a Biblical fact that the mind of man without God is degenerate. This becomes more evident as the society continues to deteriorate.
To help us understand further, the state of depraved man is graphically described by the prophet Isaiah: â… the whole head is sick and the whole heart faintâ. Isaiah 1:6
The solution must address the mind which needs to be transformed. Not even penal institutions (though necessary in a sin-laden world) can effectively deal with the hard-heartedness of man.
The only God, YAHWEH, who knows the depths of our heart and our imaginations, presents the only solution – MIND REFORM. The gospel of Christ, which contains the Righteousness of God, is the solution to all society’s evils.
Recognizing and experiencing this remedy, the Apostle Paul never ceased to call for a renewal of the mind. âLet this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.â Phil.2:5
