Netball champ passes

Urel Campbell died last weekend and was buried on Wednesday 13th April at the Kingstown Cemetery.

Urel began playing netball in the late 1950’s for the YWCA netball team. She first represented St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 1960 when a Regional tournament was held here. She continued to represent her country for years and was one of four Vincentians who represented the West Indies at the first world tournament at Eastbourne, Sussex, England in 1963.
