Young men await sentencing following brawl in Kingstown
Three teenagers and a 23-year-old who were charged following a violent brawl in Kingstown on Friday, February 13, 2026 appeared in court on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 and were remanded pending sentencing on March 2, 2026. The police said in a press release that Kezron Peters, 17, a car wash attendant of Campden Park; Jasrick Young, 16, a student of Lower Questelles; Gabrielle Haywood, 18, a resident of Campden Park; Veron Holder, 17, a sales clerk of Lowmans Leeward; and Ivorn Thomas, 23, a resident of Brighton were arrested and jointly charged with the offence of affray in connection with the fight at a fast-food restaurant.
When the four appeared in court they pleaded guilty to the offence and are now in custody until March 2, 2026.
“Public confrontations of this nature will not be allowed to take hold. Any effort to normalise intimidation, organised fighting, or initiation-type behaviour will be identified early and addressed firmly,” the police stated in the press release.
“Every Vincentian deserves to move freely throughout the country and return to their communities without fear. When that sense of safety is threatened, the response must be immediate and decisive.”
In a video of the incident, multiple persons were seen engaged in the brawl.
