Spiritual Baptist group visits the former Prime Minister

“In a nation rich with Spiritual Baptist heritage, the voices of its youth have too often gone unheard. Recognising this gap, Bishop Andres Quow and Shepherd Oilrick Pompey engaged in a pivotal conversation that gave birth to the vision of the Generation Next Youth Group.”

This was the statement made to SEARCHLIGHT by Antoinette Commissiong, Compliance Officer of Generation Next as they paid a visit to former Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, at his Gorse residence on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

She explained that, “Due to the pivotal role played by Honourable Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, the group extended a brief visitation to the former Prime Minister’s residence to engage in dialogue and express thanks for his work within, and for the Spiritual Baptist community”. before the official launch of their events leading to this year’s Spiritual Baptist Day celebration.
