Opposition Leader misled the people of North Central Windward – Senator Neptune

The candidate for the victorious New Democratic Party in the 2025 general elections, Chieftan Neptune has claimed Opposition Leader Dr. Ralph Gonsalves misled the people of the constituency during the campaign about the provision of lands.

Neptune said the process used by the former administration to distribute lands was flawed, and was based on political favours.

He made the claims on Thursday February 12, 2026 in the House of Assembly as he contributed to debate on the 2026 Budget.

Neptune, who is Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister said the people of North Central Windward were misled by the Unity Labour Party (ULP) administration, “for far too long” when it comes to issues of land distribution and development.

Senator Neptune who was the only unsuccessful member of the New Democratic Party (NDP) in the 2025 general elections, opposed Dr. Ralph Gonsalves in the North Central Windward Constituency.
