Hundreds flock to Lobster and Lambie Festival
LAST WEEKEND, January 16 to 18, hundreds of people, including Vincentians from the mainland and the Grenadines, journeyed to Carriacou and Petit Martinique for the first-ever Lobster and Lambie Festival organised by the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA).
The event, expected to be made an annual event, is similar to the Union Island Conch Festival which was held by the Union Island Tourist Bureau in 2023 (February 24 to 26).
Last weekend’s Lobster and Lambie Festival began in Carriacou on Friday, January 16, and saw people being able to purchase the lobster and lambie/conch seafood which was offered by vendors. The venue moved to Petit Martinique on Saturday where the seafood was also offered, and then again on Sunday, in Carriacou. The events also featured live entertainment that was well received by patrons.
