Court remands Ottley Hall man facing multiple charges, including kidnapping
A 21-year old labourer of Ottley Hall, facing charges of kidnapping, robbery and illegal firearm possession, was remanded when he appeared in court on Friday, January, 2 2026.
Kyle Providence appeared at the Serious Offenses Court before Chief Magistrate, Colin Williams, for arraignment. His matter was adjourned to Thursday, January, 8 2026. In a release, the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), said Providence was arrested on December, 30 2025, and charged with two counts of kidnapping, robbery, and possession of an illegal firearm.
The 21-year-old is alleged to have kidnapped a 17-year-old student of Edinboro on December 28, 2025, and a 31-year-old Navy rating of Edinboro/England on December 29, 2025. Providence also was charged with possession of one firearm, make and serial number unknown, without a license issued under the Firearms Act. Additionally, the accused was charged with the offence of robbery, in that he allegedly used the said firearm to put the complainant in fear and forcibly stole one gold iPhone 16 Pro Max cellphone valued at EC$2,000 the property of the 31-year-old Navy rating of Edinboro/England.
The offences are alleged to have been committed between Arnos Vale and Belair on December 28, 2025, and December 29, 2025.
