Victim tells Magistrate to break his attacker’s foot as compensation
A YOUNG MAN, who broke the foot of his 70year -old neighbour after accusing him of dirtying his clothes while he was walking in the neighbour’s yard, was ordered to pay $6,500 in compensation.
Jonathan Jordan, 28, of Campden Park appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Tammika McKenzie, on October 22,2025 where he pleaded guilty that on September 30, 2025 at Campden Park he unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Chelsea Murray of Campden Park.
Murray knows Jordan from around the area, but not personally. They are not friends and they never got into any previous altercation.
However, Jordan would always walk through Murray’s yard with a stone in his hand. On the date in question, at about 8:30 a.m, Murray was at home cutting his yard with a weed wacker when Jordan passed and began to curse, telling Murray if he wanted to dirty his clothes.
