Killing in Ottley Hall takes death toll in SVG to 28
THE COMMUNITY OF Ottley Hall which, over the years, has become known for acts of violence, this week recorded a gun homicide, the 28th violent death in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for 2025.
Last Sunday, September 28, at approximately 11:50 p.m. in Middle Road, Ottley Hall, gunshots pierced the air and when the noise died down, residents found the bullets had claimed the life of Enrique Codougan, a 25-year-old labourer of Richmond Hill.
When the police responded to the reports, officers discovered Codougan with multiple gunshot wounds.The District Medical Officer (DMO) later pronounced him dead.
In an effort to help solve this crime, the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), is appealing to anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward.
“Your cooperation is vital in ensuring justice in this matter and maintaining the safety and security of our nation,” the police said in a release.
This latest gun killing comes on the heels of the death of 23-year-old Darrel Cummings of Chateaubelair/Questelles. Cummings was shot and killed in Layou on Saturday, September, 13, 2025, and was this country’s 27th homicide for this year.
