Minister of Culture underscores importance of CARIFESTA

REGIONAL EVENTS like the Caribbean Festival of Arts, CARIFESTA, are important as they provide an avenue where talent and creativity are exported.

Speaking about the region’s premier Arts Festival Minister of Culture, Carlos James, said the festival is important to St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) as this country has a long history and leads when it comes to the promotion of regional integration, and pushing the free movement of people, goods and services.

He said that as the movement of nationals and the ability to work in different countries becomes legally easier for people in the region, creatives will benefit, and events like CARIFESTA help to showcase what is available.
