Police turns out 126 from 2025 Summer Music Programme
SOME 126 YOUNGSTERS on Thursday, August, 21,2025, graduated from the annual Summer music programme hosted by the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Band.
Over the three weeks of the programme, the participants were taught to play a variety of musical instruments.
“Eighty-three of these participants were boys and 43 were girls. These students represent various communities across our nation. The diversity of our participants enrich their experience as they learnt not only from their instructors but also from each other,” Inspector Vaughn Miller, leader of the band said as he gave an overview of the programme.
Listing the instruments taught, he said these were “Mainly steel pans, keyboards, percussion, guitars, bass guitars, trumpets, trombone, recorders”.
“From the very first tentative notes to the confident performances…our participants… have shown tremendous growth and dedication,” Inspector Miller told the full house that attended the graduation ceremony held at the Peace Memorial Hall.
