Four receive Chevening Scholarships for study in the UK
THE MINISTRY OF For- eign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Consumer Affairs last Friday, August 8, 2025, released the names of four persons who have received the prestigious Chevening Scholarship for the 2025 academic year to pursue further studies in univer- sities in the United Kingdom, UK.
The recipients are: 2025 Chevening Scholars are:. Reenah Samuel,Trade Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Consumer Affairs, who will pursue a Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management at the University of Nottingham. Joshika Hall, a teacher at Bishop’s College Kingstown,will pursue a Master of Science degree in Medical Microbiology at the University of Manchester.Tevisha James, Standards Inspector at the St Vincent and the Grenadines Bureau of Standards, will pursue a Master of Science degree in Food Safety, Hygiene and Management at the University of Birmingham; and Pallavi Browne, United Nations and Commonwealth Desk Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Consumer Affairs, who will pursue a Master of Science degree in International Security at the University of East Anglia. Chevening Scholarships, funded by the UK government, enable outstanding emerging leaders from across the globe to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK.The scholarship is fully funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended heartfelt congratulations to the four Vincentian awardees and commends their unwavering commitment to academic and professional excellence.
“Their selection underscores the enduring strength of the bilateral relationship between Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the United Kingdom, as well as the significant opportunities afforded through such partnerships,” the Ministry states.
It has expressed confidence that upon completion of their studies, these scholars will make meaningful contributions to national development and the continued advancement of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
