Rockies labourer charged with Criminal Assault

A 35-year-old labourer of Rockies, charged with the offence of criminal assault, has been ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation, and had his matter adjourned to June, 23, 2025. Alone Garnes of Rockies, was arrested on June, 4, 2025 and charged with the offense, a release from the police states.

Garnes is alleged to have assaulted a 49-year-old resident, also of Rockies on June, 2, 2025, by raising a knife above her head with the intent to commit bodily harm. The offence was said to have been committed in Rockies, the police release states.

Garnes appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on June, 5,2025 where he pleaded guilty to the charge, following which, the Magistrate ordered that a mental health evaluation be done at the Mental Health Center for 14 days. The matter was adjourned to June 23, 2025.
